It's been a while since I've had acrylics done and I decided to go in and "treat" myself this evening- (or so I thought) I walk in and immediately I notice how filthy the nail salon is. Unorganized and stuff piled up everywhere, nail shavings all over the place, I never once saw an instrument being sanitized. But I continued to sit and wait my turn trying to overlook the mess. I show the man 2 different pictures of nails that I liked before we got started. He glued the tips on first and as he did this I noticed some of them were lopsided and not evenly put on (I again didn't say anything because I didn't want to be rude. I wanted to let him finish before critiquing anything) so he gets all of them glued on and starts filing them. In a completely different shape that I showed him! They were somewhat square but pointed on the ends. I thought to myself, "well, maybe he will square them out when he's finishing up" at this point I knew I better say something or I was going to get something I didn't want. And the money we all spend on nails, we should get what we want or something similar to it anyway. So I tell him I wanted them to be more square not pointy looking on the ends. He looked dumbfounded like they were square and I was crazy. He said that he asked me if the first one was ok and I agreed so he did all of them that way. And it's too late to make them the shape I originally wanted. I pulled up the pictures again on my phone and showed him once again what I wanted. I held up my finger with the lopsided tips and pointy ends up to the picture of the perfectly square nail pictures and asked him if they looked anything alike to him. And he said yes!!! lol I just asked him to please take them off. I moved over a chair and soaked my nails in acetone for about 45 minutes... oh! And he cut me on two of my nails so that acetone felt great going in those cuts. He took them off and offered to redo my nails. I politely declined the offer. I did however see him do someone else's nails while I was soaking in acetone and they looked fine. I guess that I just got lucky! Just isn't the place for me. But they may do a good job for you. He did say this was the first time that's ever happened to him so maybe it was just a bad day. We all have those. But I won't be going back to this establishment.

As he cut my nails he said ingrown I said yes before I knew what he was doing he cut into my left big toe and YANKED the ingrown nail out and I raised up out of,the chair and I said OH MY HANA THAT HURT. It starting bleeding and he poured a greenish blue liquid on my toe he kept saying you bleed, he proceeded to work on other side of nail doing the same thing just as QUICK ... I said that hurt your really hurting me he was speaking to the others workers in a language I could not understand...he finished my nails and,said. $ 35.00 and stay here 15 min to dry...HE KNEW WHAT HE DID IN HURTING MY toe and he knew I was upset,
My Mom an I got a gift certificate from there an didn't see you have a limited time for use "Well the owner kept that money from both gift certificates an charged us 140.00 more"

I usually go to GO GO NAILS they were going out of town. Cindy never has hurt my toes when wotking on my nails.

3 days later my nails are chipping and the clear coat is off. They didn't trim my nails or cuticles and they left the dust on my nails when applying the acylic and I have some of the pink feathers in the acylic that she used to dust my nails off with. The lady also stayed on YouTube watching nail tutorials the whole time. Never again will I waste $40 and my time.
6 days ago I entered the doors of A K Nails, Today day 6 my toe is still extremely sore...NEVER EVER AGAIN...the guy that did my Pedi constantly looked around as he did my Pedi.
