I ordered the Fancy Fixing Catfish and three sides. The catfish was fried to perfection and the sides/temp. warm. :-/
Have excellent food. One of my favorite places to eat. Just not consistent on food portion. I usually always get the same thing and a few times i have left not feeling full. And they are famous for hashbrown casserole and last couple times it was so hard on top and dried out.
Their food usually always tastes delicious and I cannot remember a time that the kitchen has sent out my order wrong or incomplete. The service is the only issue here. There's a possibility you'll get a server who isn't hospitable or doesn't pay attention to things like refilling drinks, bringing napkins, etc. I dislike using percentiles when describing anything but I am going to here. Judging by my visits alone, there's a 40% chance of the server being both skilled & kind. Still, I doubt you'll regret the food choices, especially breakfast. My visit today went well, we even got a window seat which is always my preference when it's warm out & the fireplace isn't lit.
I love cracker barrel. They have great food. Serve my favorite drink, Dr. Enuf. And great price and service... Also love their store awesome stuff... Sometimes pricey tho.
Great experience! Service from Douglas T was amazing. He was super sweet and made us feel at home. Food came out quickly and hot. Never had to ask for a refill. Ideal service when dining at thank you Douglas.
